  1. My daughter’s grandmother bought this camera for her 4th birthday. Anyway, yes, it’s easy for kids to use BUT………you have to have a screwdriver to put the batteries in the camera. I believe if the child is old enough to take photographs, the child is old enough to know NOT to eat the batteries. This is frustrating because the screws are very hard to un-do. When you want to download the photos using the USB cable good luck! You have to once again get out the tools and un-do the screws to connect. The photo quality is so blurry you’ll think something is wrong with your eyes. If I didn’t have bright red hair you’d never know it was me in the photo my daughter just took. For nearly 90-dollars this is a real joke. Advice: spend a little time educating your child on how to be gentle with a REAL digital camera and you’ll not be disappointed!

i bought this for my 3 year old daughter for this christmas after fighting crowds for it. Then i thought i should check it out before i wrap it and im glad i did. takes terrible pictures. There are going to be a lot of disapointed kids out there this year to much hipe on this product. It’s cheaper to buy disposible cameras and develope them for your kids i can see this as being a real novilty product as the pictures suck and would be very frusturating to a kid since kids are very smart and how do you explain to a kid why the picture dosn’t look like what you took.

  4. My soon to be four year old daughter received this from her “daddy” for Xmas and she loves it. She loved it so much that she had to take it to her daycare to take pictures of her friends. Obviously, this not intended to take great pictures but my daughter does not really care. It was easy for her to learn to use and is very durable. This gift in addition to the Barbie Dream House and Barbie guitar were big hits for my little girl!

This camera was purchased for my 4 year-old. She likes the camera, but still prefers to use mine instead. I think this is because the Kid Tough camera looks like a toy. The display screen is a little fuzzy, but is what it is intended to be – a kid tough camera.
