I love my Fujipix J10 (not a sales pitch) it cost me about $100 bucks and does what I want! I’m just a “take pictures when I remember my camera” kind of guy so here are a few functions i can’t do with out.

When reviewing cameras check out the “Functions” or “Technical details” page to find the options types.

Mega pixels? i only need a 3-5mp since i don’t print photos larger than 8×10

Big viewing screen!  so I can show off pictures to my friends

A memory card.  as least 1Gig. I like the San Disk type (there are many)but the San Disk one fits in my computer card reader slot.

Timer!  so i can get in a few pictures myself

*Note.  I like a camera with a flat bottom so it will stand up when I use the timer!

Battery life.  Make sure you have a camera with a long one!

Action shot setting.  so you can get the soccer games!

Flash.  make sure it has a large flash so you can take good low light pictures.

Charger.  Choose one that has a car charger option! not easy to find but i like it!

A case you can strap to your belt so its easy to carry around.

These are just a few ideas that I think will help you choose the camera thats right for you!
